Country Style 4H Clinics are open to ALL children enrolled in the 4H Horse Project.
Most clinics will be held at Latigo Trails Equestrian Center

Include club name and current riding level (beg, novice, Level 1, 2, 3)
Beginner, Novice & Level I riders must wear a helmet in 4H; other levels are encouraged to wear one.
Clinic fee of $10 per rider.

English Rail Work

Are you ready for the Spring Show Season?  At this clinic you will learn or fine tune the typical components of English Rail Work to include the quality of all three gaits - walk, trot and canter (depending on the riders level). You will also work on a collected or extended trot, and you may also see a hand gallop.

What is Dressage?  Dressage is new to El Paso Country for 2012. It is a simple pattern to show your horses ability to move. As the levels go higher the maneuvers get harder.

What will you learn?

*  About the dressage arena

*  How to ride a correct Dressage Pattern

*  What a judge is looking for in a pattern

*  How to read a Dressage score sheet

Who is the clinician? Jennifer Gage – a Bronze and Silver medalist in Dressage.

At the end of the April clinic we will have a mini show. The judge will be Heather Peterson.


Competitive Trail Riding

     Competitive Trail Riding is new this year for the horse project level 1 riders and above!

Competitive trail riding encompasses equine first aid, conditioning, and enjoyment of the outdoors with your horse. There will be several mounted and unmounted clinics preparing you and your horse for competitive trail rides.
